A Tail Give Away

Another wonderful contributed story.

Our cat Ace (black and white male) was a character who added so much to our lives for many years. Here are a couple of stories from the "Ace Journal".

We always kept our bedroom door closed as we had a waterbed and didn't want any claws sinking into our mattress. Ace was obedient to some commands, but he silently stalked our bedroom area and would run in that room if the door was left open. When he didn't respond to my call one day, I checked our bedroom and found the door open. We have an airframe mattress and not the old wooden enclosure for our waterbed. It looks like a regular bed and has a comforter, with a dust ruffle attached to the wood platform. All these details seem necessary to paint the picture of Ace hiding under the dust ruffle with his TAIL STICKING OUT!

You can't actually go under the bed because of the wood platform, but there was enough room for Ace to hide (he thought). When I called him, he took off and kept running around the bed, partially hidden by the dust ruffle. I finally caught him, but it was difficult because I was laughing so hard.
